The next YLC gathering is taking place from 6-9pm on Saturday 24 June at The Auction House, 192 Manfield Road, (NG1 3HU) which is the home of Trinity Church Nottingham.
During the Spring Term, the college hosted 2 of these events for 15-18s and 18-30s with over 100 young leaders from across the Diocese coming together for some worship, prayer, teaching on leadership and opportunity to network with other leaders.
We will be hearing from Amy Hughes who is co-pastor of Trinity Church Nottingham, with her husband Jonny. They lead a small team who have helped to plant a new church on the North-East side of the city centre, which began hosting services on Easter Sunday at its new home in the old auction house near the top of the Mansfield Road. They have four young children and a big heart for serving Christ in the city.
Amy will be talking on ‘What does God want to do with us during seasons of change in our lives?’, whether you are soon heading off to college of university, or to a new job, most of us have mixed feelings about any big change; it’s exciting but it’s also scary. Come along to this evening to find out how we navigate these changes in a way that grows bigger faith in God as new opportunities open up for us. Amy will tell something of her journey of faith through seasons of change in her life, including coming to Nottingham over the past year.
As well as hearing from Amy, we will be having a BBQ, discussion and a chance to worship together. We would love to hear from you, please RSVP by Monday 19th June at the lastest – it would be great to welcome as many as we can to this exciting event.
Tickets are free and available to anyone between the ages of 15-30 but make sure you RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the names of people who want to come.
We look forward to seeing you all soon
The YLC Team
We’re looking for 40 mentors who would be prepared to give a couple of hours per month to investing significantly in the leadership development of young people. You might wish you had received this kind of experienced support as you grew up, and if you’d like to give something back, then contact us…
We are looking to partner with churches, schools, universities and employers for our events – if you are interested in supporting these, either through hosting them, bringing groups to them, or serving at them, please get in touch.
